Foster Battles to Fuji Podium in Blancpain GT Asia
Nick Foster and Jono Lester’s #27 HubAuto Corsa Ferrari scored second in Race 1 after getting the better of pole-sitters Edoardo Liberati and Florian Strauss.

After a near perfect qualifying from the Lester to start P2, the Trans Tasman Duo set out for a podium finish in their first outing together as teammates.
After starting from the front row Lester was escorted off the circuit at Turn 1, a tough initiation for the Kiwi into Blancpain GT Asia. Lester though was able to regained his composure and finish a strong opening stint hounding the rear of the #999 car after having already dispatching the #18 and the #3.
Foster emerged from pit lane in 5th position and was quick to displace cars exiting the pit lane on cold tyres, perfectly executing the HubAuto Corsa undercut strategy.
Following a few clear laps as the pitstops finished Foster who'd already dispatched the #19 Lamborghini for 3rd was able to catch the 2nd placed #23 Nissan.
The pair ran side-by-side for several corners and even made light contact at one point before the Ferrari completed its decisive move. Foster then proceeded to pull away a further 5 seconds though unable to catch the leader in the time remaining.
